WINE PROGRAM:
The innovative, domestic wine program consists solely of 42 stainless steel barrels of wine, with the exception of sparkling wines and champagne. Featured wines include Ken Bernard’s Destino and Ancien, Andrew Geoffrey, Bell, Monticello, Qupe, JC Cellars and Au Bon Climat to start their barrel list. The barrels are displayed in a 26 foot, glass and steel, temperature controlled tower situated prominently in the restaurant. Wines are drawn by gravity and served as a half glass, glass, mini thief (10 ounces), half thief (20 ounces), and full thief (42 ounces). The majority of the wine is domestic with the exception of sparkling wines and, cost under $50. Red wines have Argon and white wines have CO² to protect them from oxidation. The tower, which can hold 6 barrels across, features a gravity flowed system for pouring and a scissor lift that rises to the top allowing for maintenance and replacing of the barrels.
DESIGN:
Bill Johnson, of the acclaimed Johnson Studio, designed TWO’s large space with a variety of spatial experiences. The first thing that guests experience is actually driving up a ramp and into the building where they are greeted by valets. From the car, they pass through an outdoor "courtyard" that is enclosed on the sides but open to the sky and boasting an abundance of flora and fauna. Entering the front door is a sensual experience as one is greeted next to a 26-foot high steel and glass tower that holds 42 barrels of wine. Beyond the hosts, in the center of the main dining area, is a completely exposed "in the round" kitchen. In the center of this kitchen is a nine-foot rotisserie revolving with custom skewers turning. Of course beyond, there's the great view of Atlanta's downtown skyline. The entire room is dramatically lit with theatrical spots creating highlights as the room glows with the light of dozens of small gas lanterns that cover one entire wall. One of the highlights is an 18 X 24 foot Todd Murphy original painting titled "The Courage of Margaret Mead," that is a fabulous visual in itself.
PRIVATE DINING:
Along with the live blues, edgy atmosphere & dramatic textures in the main dining room, TWO offers multiple options for your private dining needs. Our courtyard is set up with rock fountains & live trees that open to the starry sky via the retractable roof. The courtyard offers seating for 60 people & up to 90 for cocktails & appetizers. On the opposite side of the restaurant is the patio. Options include dining on the patio with the city’s best view of the skyline or inside TWO near the open glass garage doors that bring the outside in. The patio is perfect for cocktail receptions & bocce ball tournaments from 20 to 75 people. You can sip TWO’s signature infusion cocktails, play bocce ball & watch the chefs as they come out into the “urban garden” and gather herbs to make your meals.
CAPACITY:
TWO’s courtyard can hold up to 60 people for a sit down dinner and approximately 90 people for a cocktail/appetizer set up. The main dining room can hold up to 232 people. The patio can hold 28 people.
