TAP Press Releases 02/05/08: Now Recruiting Members: TAP Taster's Society 02/05/08: Concentrics Restaurants Launches TAP, Atlanta’s First Authentic Gastropub 02/05/08: Atlanta’s First Authentic Gastropub Taps into a Growing Trend Atlanta’s First Authentic Gastropub Taps into a Growing Trend TAP Now Serving Cask-Conditioned Beers Atlanta, GA (February 5, 2008) – TAP is giving Atlanta’s beer connoisseurs a new reason to raise their pint glasses and celebrate. Atlanta’s first authentic gastropub has added cask-conditioned beers to its already extensive beer selection that includes 21 draft beers and 21 bottled beers highlighting the small microbreweries of the U.S. along with the great beer houses of Europe. TAP is currently serving American Pale Ale. Brewed by the Atlanta Brewing Company, this beer features citrus, pine and caramel hop flavors. Most commonly found in Britain, cask-conditioned beers have a more complex, rich flavor. These “real ales” contain live yeast and are brewed from only traditional ingredients with no preservatives. Therefore, they will only stay fresh for approximately one week. Cask-conditioned beer is served from an authentic British beer engine, a manual pump that allows TAP to serve this unique ale without the extraneous gas from a typical tap. All of TAP’s cask-conditioned beers are brewed at the nearby Atlanta Brewing Company, reducing transport time and resulting in ultimate freshness. Recognized as “Atlanta’s Best Gastropub” by Atlanta magazine, TAP is a standout spot for seasonally-driven, innovative comfort food courtesy of Chef Todd Ginsberg. An extensive international beer list and innovative barrel wine program makes TAP “a convivial place to have a pint” night after night. Located at 1180 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Ga., TAP serves supper seven nights a week, lunch Monday through Friday and weekend brunch. For reservations and more information, call 404.347.2220 or visit tapat1180.com.
