TWELVE Atlantic Station® Makes Conde Nast Traveler’s “Hot List”

Atlanta, GA (April 26, 2006) – TWELVE® Hotel & Residences Atlantic Station®has been named one of the hottest new hotels in the world by Condé Nast Traveler.  Opened in February 2006, TWELVEAtlantic Station is the first development of TWELVE® Hotel & Residences (twelvehotels.com), a new hotel brand from Novare Group, developers of high-rise residential communities in urban markets,

“TWELVE is an innovative hotel brand, and we’re thrilled to be selected by a publication with the prestige and standing of Condé Nast Traveler,” said Jim Veil, President of TWELVEHotel & Residences. “We designed TWELVE with a sophisticated traveler in mind, someone who wants all the amenities of a suite, as well as the intimacy of a boutique hotel.  Having Condé Nast recognize our efforts is a great honor."

Condé Nast Traveler’s “Hotel Hot List” is an insider’s guide to the newest, hottest, sexiest hotels that have opened all over the world in the past year. To develop the list, the magazine's editors called on a network of editors and field reporters to visit each hotel, rigorously evaluating it on a standard set of criteria. The result is a definitive guide to the world's most exciting new establishments. The “Hot List” features 130 new hotels and resorts in 54 countries and six continents. Only 15 U.S. properties made the list, including two in Georgia, TWELVEHotel & Residences Atlantic Station and Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah.

TWELVEoffers guests comfortable contemporary accommodations, cutting-edge technology and a destination restaurant called Lobby at TWELVE.  Rates begin less than $200 for a one-bedroom suite, complete with a full-sized kitchen with stainless steel appliances, separate sleeping and living areas, floor-to-ceiling windows, LCD flat-panel TVs, DVD player and wi-fi connectivity. Two-bedroom suites are available for $225 a night.

The hotel’s most outstanding feature is its proprietary in-room application – GHOSTSM (Guest Hotel Operating System Terminal) – which allows guests to request various services online. GHOST allows guests to customize their service level to their own preference on a continuum from high touch to high tech.  Using the flat-screen monitor and keyboard that are standard in every suite, guests can order room service, make specific housekeeping requests (additional bath linens, sewing kit, toiletry items, etc.), contact the concierge, request their car from the valet, order laundry/dry cleaning and much more – all without picking up the phone.  If, however, guests prefer to deal with a human voice and presence, highly-trained TWELVE hotel staff is readily available to answer any call.  It’s the guest’s choice how and when to use technology, providing a highly personalized and responsive level of service.

“We’re using technology in unique ways that enable us to offer highly personalized and customized service to our guests,” states Veil. “We are designed to meet the needs of the 24- to 45-year-old traveler – or any traveler, for that matter –  who requires a robust technological infrastructure to assist business needs or enhance leisure travel while also delivering the comforts of traditional hotel services.”

Situated on the ground floor of the hotel, Lobby at TWELVE is the hot destination restaurant by Concentrics Hospitality. A favorite with both professional food critics and locals, Lobbyis a high-energy casual gathering place serving great food and drinks. The restaurant's design includes an open kitchen surrounded by two dining areas. A wood-burning pizza oven serves as the backdrop for the bar which is open to the hotel lobby. The flow from restaurant to bar to hotel lobby creates an exciting, kinetic atmosphere for guests, residents and the public alike. Lobby serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily as well as providing room service.

“Lobby is a gathering place for those who want chef-inspired, traditional American food with a contemporary twist, in a vibrant casual environment,” said Bob Amick, Concentrics Hospitality partner and creator of such Atlanta favorites as ONE. midtown kitchen and TWO urban licks.

TWELVE® also offers a stylish alternative to traditional ballrooms and cookie-cutter conference centers. The Ballroom is approximately 6,200 square feet and can be divided into 4,000 and 2,200-square-foot event spaces. Additionally, a 2,500-square-foot pre-function space, two lush terraces and a private catering kitchen are included in the facility rental.

A key draw for TWELVEHotel & Residences Atlantic Station is its location in the heart of Atlantic Station, Atlanta’s newest shopping and entertainment district.  With popular retailers such as IKEA, Banana Republic, GAP, West Elm and Bath & Body Works, numerous fine and casual dining options, wine bars, sports bars and a state-of-the-art 16-screen Regal Theatre, TWELVE guests will have their choice of a variety of day and nighttime activities all within walking distance.
